Cheats and Settings

I can't get the F9 key to bring up a dialog box so I can input codes. Extremely frustrating-- think it would be pretty cool to start off with extra gold or whatever.

I was wondering if it makes a difference where you purchase the game... Got mine at BigFish.

Out of interest I opened Settings using Notepad in the game folder. This is what I found:

Sound Effects Off=0
Music Off=0
Hints Off=0
Fullscreen=1
Game Speed=0
Current Savefile=C:\Program Files\Cute Knight\Fiona.sav

I'm wondering if someone who has been able to utilize the F9 key successfully would look in their Settings. Maybe I'm missing a line of code or something? Or, am I just grasping at straws...

If you have an 'F-Lock' key, press it to make the F-Keys work. I've had this keyboard for nearly two years, and I still forget it most of the time. =/

If that's not the problem, I don't know what to say - the two people I know who own the game both got it from different places, and they can both use the cheat with no problems.
