Unlike the last game (Cute Knight), in this sequel, when you work or study, you have the option to try and improve your progress. Each day, there is a bar, with a star underneath, that show your progress, be it either with your work or your study, of that day. If the bar is full, it is green, and it means that you are doing well, therefore you will earn money for that day (if you are working), or you will learn a lot (if you are studying). Just like in CK game, if you work well enough to earn money, your dream will increase. On the other hand, if the bar is partly filled with yellow, it means that you need to try harder to increase the yellow part, till it fills up the bar and turn green. If you cannot fill up the bar before the day ends (when the time clock turns to the dark phase with the moon), then you have failed the day, and your dream will decrease.
you can fill up the bar by two ways: 1) press the exertion button (or the E on your keyboard), this would use up your health point (HP), 1 stamina for each press; or 2) press the concentration button (or the C on the keyboard), this would use up your mind point (MP). You can rest later and restore the HP and MP.
It should be note that different jobs will be affected differently by exertion or concentration. for some jobs, the yellow bar will fill up faster if you use more HP (for example, the works with the miner); while others will fill up faster with MP (for example, the scribe work with the magician). Some again progresses justequally fine with either. Test and see what will be the best choice. Although the tutorial note said that you may want to progress slowly instead of pressing the bar, I found that except for the very early day, when you have quite low HP and MP, most of the time using exertion and/or concentration pays off very well. you only have to build up HP to about 40, and then you can start using them already. for many job, it need only about 3-4 HP per day to get the bar to green.
