Hello everyone! I hope someone has some advice on how to beat the banshee. My fighter cannot survive the banshee on level 4 of the dungeon; I've trained her fighting to be really high but still almost all strikes miss.
Are there specific "magic" weapons that I should make in the forge? Do only spells hit the banshee? How can I possibly beat this thing?
(just as a note, I have NO trouble with anything else in the dungeon so far; it's like night & day, everything else falls in a blow or two and I almost never miss, but this banshee dodges almost every single blow ... quite frustrating!!)
Any help/advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

Hi. It is really quite awhile now that I have played this. Can't remember got this problem before. But maybe try the spell combo in the spell part to see how. I think there are two combos there. Or else drink lots of barkskin potion and see if it help to reduce your damage. Did you use the earthsplitter?

Great ideas, thanks! I hadn't even HEARD of barkskin potion, so I'll try to find that. And I just recently found the whole list of items & learned how to make an earthsplitter, but I'll need to go find the components again.
I actually finally managed to beat the banshee (sheer force of will - I think it was about 20 attempts) and then rounded the corner & there's a troll ... and I can't even come close to killing it. Sigh. I thought focusing on combat/combat/only-combat would be the way to beat the dungeon ... guess that's not necessarily true!
Will try those ideas of yours, thanks ... and another character, one with magic, for my next attempt!

All right ... I feel like such a noob, but I got it ... woo-hoo!
Never did find any BarkSkin potion, but I made sure that I used the item list to make the Earthsplitter - and a ton of other good things to sell to make $$ ... trained up my Exercise to increase my hitpoints, and bought a bunch of healing potions from the store as well. It took a few trips to clear out the beasties, but I made it through them & to the dragon & even beat it - so thanks!!

Hi. Glad to hear that you beat it. So you didn't do exercise? Or do anything to boot your strength and stamina? That is not so good. More strength and stamina mean more life, definitely a good thing if you go combat direction for dungeon. Not bad for magic either. I think it makes sense, like real life, you know.
As for the barkskin potion, you make it yourself if you take the cooking class, and choose making potion for long enough time. Very good for fighting.
I did mention the troll in the Spell thread. Someone had suggested a good combo magic for it. Otherwise, if fighting with weapon, I think lots of healing potions and barkskin, and good weapon/armor should be fine.
